Subtle Styling

Leather Jacket By H&M
Hat By Club Monaco

There’s really no look more classic than a brand new white tee paired with a pair of clean, white chucks.  If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I recently purchased a pair of Comme Des Garçon x Converse.  I haven't quite broken them in, so I decided to take them for a spin around Atlantic Station this afternoon. I thought it would be cool to try something a little different with a black and white edit since this look was solely black and white. I think they're pretty awesome lol. What do you guys think?

Lost & Found: Nike Air Footscape

H&M Hoodie
H&M Skinny Jeans
Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka

These Nike Air Footscape’s were on sale for half price 2 years ago and I couldn't resist taking advantage of such a great deal. It's been about 6 months since I last saw them. I took them with me on vacation last year and left them so during the trip I made last month my mission was to make sure they got into my luggage and back to Atlanta lol. The overall design of the sneaker is so unique and they're super lightweight which makes them one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The colors on the sneaker look great with with black jeans, so I decided to wear it with my black outfit. What are your thoughts on these?

Just Because

H&M Cashmere Hat
GAP Jacket
New Balance M350

Lately, I’ve been finding more time to blog and I love it. I promised myself that I would update you guys more often on my daily outfits and I think I've done a good job of keeping my word thus far. Yesterday, before heading out to grab a bite with a few friends, I wore a few pieces that I’ve had in my closet for about two years ( Burgundy H&M sweater & GAP Jacket ) along with a few new garments I got two days ago ( Skinny Fit denim jeans & Gingham Oxford Shirt ). It’s still pretty cold in Atlanta, so layering is a must.

Detail Of The Day: Red Wing Moc Toe Boot

I've had these boots for about 2 years now, but they've rarely been used for what they were made for. I generally don't wear boots very often, but Atlanta's ugly weather prompted me to wear them today. Red Wings have always been one of my favorite boots. The structure and simplicity of this shoe is undeniable. After wearing them today, I've decided to break them in a little by adding them to my rotation of shoes for the rest of the winter.

Above, is a photo that was originally supposed to be a silly blooper, but we both ended up loving haha. It captured our personality and of course, our outfit of the day. The t-shirts were sponsored by one of my favorite brands in the Virgin Islands; Passport Caribbean.

Brunch at Carambola Beach Resort

Good Morning beautiful people.  It’s already been a week since I’ve been on vacation and I wanted to update you guys on what I’ve been up to.  Yesterday, Aliyah and I went to Carambola Beach Resort to have brunch and of course hit the waves lol.  After wandering around the beach and a great time in the water, we decided it was time to grab a bite to eat.  The brunch menu offered tons of amazing food but this time I got Carambola’s famous Turkey Club Sandwich with a side of Salad. Aliyah got the same thing as well, but with a side of french fries (which was delicious). I guess great minds think alike.  All in all, it was a pretty amazing day.

You Are Here!

Happy Valentines day everyone! Not only is today Valentines day but it also makes 10 months since Aliyah and I have been officially dating. To celebrate, she treated me to pizza at a great restaurant near the Christiansted boardwalk called “You Are Here”. Since I love pizza so much, she knew it would be a great pick lol. The pizza not only tasted amazing, it looked amazing too. The chef actually cut the pizza into a heart for us. After lunch, we took a walk through the area, visited a few local boutiques, and did some shopping. To top the day off, Aliyah surprised me with a mason jar filled with different memories we’ve had (pink), things she wants us to do together (white), and reasons she loves me (purple). How did you spend your Valentines Day?

Ital In Paradise

Herschel Backpack / H&M Plain T-shirt / H&M Skinny Jeans / Birkenstocks

Happy hump day everyone! I'm finally home. It feels great to be reunited with my family and girlfriend once again. Yesterday, as expected, I slept in most of the day. After a long day of rest, I took my girlfriend out for a late lunch at one my of my favorite restaurants on St. Croix; Ital in Paradise. I've been telling her how awesome the food is, so a visit was definitely in order. Before getting our grub on, we went for a walk on the boardwalk and played tourists for a little bit (lol). After about 30 minutes,  hunger began to get the best of us so we decided to go grab a bite to eat. The menu is entirely gluten free and consists of vegan food, fish, and a variety of local drinks. I had the grilled salmon with brown rice, sautéed asparagus, lentil balls, and a garden salad. Aliyah, on the other hand, kept it simple and ordered a homemade lentil burger on pita with home fries.

Vacation: St. Croix, USVI

If you happen to follow me on Instagram (@Rashgmaal) you may have seen pictures of one of my many trips to the Virgin Islands. Having the opportunity to visit so frequently in the past year has allowed me to realize the beauty of the place that many of us often take for granted; Home!

Sitting here in Puerto Rico awaiting my flight I have time to reflect on how thankful I am to be going back once again. Over the next week [solely with my iPhone to minimize the concept of work because I am on vacation] I will be sharing small doses of my trip to St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands.
